A Cold, Quiet Place

The Red Claw Clan has a mission for us... all communications ceased with a certain system, and we are to investigate.
Once we are in, we noticed three ships: one freighter, and 2 Orion raiders, all damaged. The Orion ships are very slow, and the freighter was not moving. We rushed toward the freighter, but the Orions are not interested in her.
We hailed the freighter, but he's not responding.
We destroyed both Orion raiders, then hailed the freighter again. He said the moon just vanished. Our science officer confirmed. The moon is gone, but other sensors indicate there is still a gravity well there.
We scanned the planet itself, then we approached the area near where the moon was. Indeed, there is gravity well there. We concluded the moon has been rendered "out of phase". Having done all we can, we left the area.
Asteroid!

Long-range sensors had detected an asteroid heading toward one of the inhabited planets.
We rushed toward the asteroid, only to notice a Hydran cruiser in the corner of the map. We hailed it, but it insisted it's on some "scientific endeavor".
We went to the asteroid, slapped a tractor beam on it, and shoved it in a different direction. Fortunately, that seems sufficient.
We then went to confront the Hydran ship, and it just ignored us. We scanned it, and found it to be the "commando" variant, with over 30 boarding parties, but no heavy weapons. We fired warning shots, it ignored us. So we opened fire, and it launched Stinger fighters. We traded volleys, and we took a little damage when one of those fighters fired its fusion beams at us. But we swatted them, then we chased down the lancer and destroyed it.
Somehow, we received NO prestige from this mission, having taken "too much damage" even though we saved the planet and destroyed the interloper, and the repair bill was less than 5 prestige. WTF...
