Three tourists from the UK have appeared in court in Cyprus accused of murdering a British soldier.

David Lee Collins, who was19 and from Manchester, served with 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. His family have been informed.

He died after being stabbed during a fight at a nightclub at a tourist resort.

A Famagusta District court has granted a police request to detain a 19-year-old man and two 17-year-old suspects for eight days to give investigators enough time to build their case.
