27Test with Ultra Street Fighter IV (Arcade Edition) at MAXIMUM Settings with Proton (3.7.3), the Steam Play compatibility layer from Valve.
YES !!! you now can play Street Fighter from your LINUX Steam Client :D !
Everything works just fine and the joypad are recognized (Xbox and steam controller).
It is the 4th not the 5th .. but it is great too :) !
Note that this video is not the best fight ever seen on Street fighter ... but it is played on LINUX ;D !
The video begins with the quick benchmark [95 FPS without recording] then there is one match against AI.
(FPS are lost with recording)
This compatibility layer is in beta test right now... So there will be some tweaking on Valve side to make every games install efficiently and perform at best frame rate. For now lot's of games not listed in the announcement don't work well with proton but already work with Lutris and DxVk :).
