When it comes to retro gaming Retro-Bit knows a thing or two. From making great classic clone consoles to providing accessories to replace and upgrade OEM parts and pieces to keep the fun level high. One of their latest releases is the Street Fighter Genesis & USB Dual Link Controller for PC, Mac and, as the name suggests, if you're a fan of Street Fighter (specifically Ryu) you're going to want one of these.

The controller itself fairly accurately recreates the size and feel of the Sega 6-button controller. The D-pad feels nice and the buttons are very clicky and responsive. In the hands it has a significant feel without being cumbersome. I've bought other 6-button controllers off eBay and they feel light, thing and cheap. These feel so much better, and Retro-Bit needs to be complimented for their molds and design; this is a great feeling controller.

Being compatible with both Genesis/Genesis clones and computers the Dual Link Controller features both the traditional Genesis-style connector and a USB plug on the ends. The fitment on both are excellent and I was able to play games on my multiple Genesis systems, both clones and Model 1 hardware plus my Windows 10 Laptop, nVidia Shield TV and even my phone and tablet using USB-OTG cables.

But how does it work for playing games? Well it's excellent. There was no lag, delay or latency at all and it played both 3-button and 6-button Genesis games without a hitch. Need to pull off a Shoryuken, Hadouken or spinning side kick? Not an issue! The entire controller is extremely responsive and 100% spot on. Sure, I tested it with fighting games but I also threw more than a few platformers at it and it still came away like a beast. Earthworm Jim, Sonic 1-3, Sonic and Knuckles, Stimpy's Invention and even Shaq Fu all were spot on. I really enjoyed using this controller with those games, especially compared to my other, cheap 6-button controller.

If you're in the market to replace or upgrade the controllers for your Sega Genesis, a Genesis Clone or you're just looking for an extra controller the Retro-Bit Street Fighter Genesis & USB Dual Link Controller should be at the very top of your list. It worked with everything I threw at it and then some and came out like a champ. It is comfortable and stylish, especially if you're a fan of Street Fighter on the Genesis.

Why it RoX
- Great Ergonomics
- Very good price
- Works with Genesis, Genesis Clones, PC and Android devices
- The artwork is really awesome looking
- Feels great in the hand

What could be improved
- 6-foot long controller cable is good but 10-foot would be better
- No instructions included (as a non-Sega fanboy what is this Mode button for?!?)
- The Ryu version is cool but more styles would be better
