Fortune Hunter, Nathan Drake, is once again lured back into the treacherous world of thieves and mercenary treasure seekers. You will embark on a journey to discover the real truth of what happened to the lost fleet of Marco Polo, and find out what new treasures lie ahead.
The graphics in Uncharted 2 are absolutely beautiful. It is easily one of the best looking console games out there. The explosive new "real to life action" sequences are a must see to be believed. From helicopter chase scenes, to train wrecks and everything in between, it's simply jaw dropping action that will nail you to the couch until the game is finished, and then that's when the online mode begins, and you'll be just amazed at how great it is!
The music is simply awe inspiring. From the action packed scenes to the melancholy tunes during the end credits, this game is packed through and through with music that is simply fantastic! I just love the soundtrack to this game just like the first Uncharted!
The sound effects are also top of the line with incredible depth and detail to even the small things. I was constantly blown away (so to speak) by the gunfire, and bomb blasts, crashing trains, and even sounds of buildings being leveled while inside them with debris falling all around in surround sound, it just takes your breath away! Yes, it's that damn good!
The controls in Uncharted 2 are extremely tight like the first game, and work flawlessly. They might take a few seconds to get used to in the beginning of the game, but within a few minutes you should be able to get the hang of it and it feels natural after that point. The controls are very precise, and fluid feeling. Exploration and picking off your enemies has never been so easy to do.
Bottom line: Uncharted 2 Among Thieves is a masterpiece that showcases what the PlayStation 3 can do with great developers behind it. This game displays graphics unseen anywhere else, a storyline that is stellar, music that is top notch, controls that are spot on, and a cast of characters you will fall in love with. Simply put, Uncharted 2 is game of the year quality, and should NOT be passed up. It's a 100% MUST BUY!!
