I returned to the abandoned Woodstock Mine to investigate whether there were other entrances to the mine that Tony and I missed during the initial exploration a year ago. During this visit, I found an entrance that led to much more extensive workings than what I discovered a year earlier. One drift tunnel led to the 300-foot deep vertical shaft while other drifts led to stopes. The mine has some serious depth to it, but I did not descend to the lower levels. Instead, I ascended to an upper level and found another long, meandering drift tunnel that eventually led me to another exit.
