Understanding the concept of blocking in Tekken 7 or how to deal with King's Alley Kicks
Plenty of beginners still don't understand the concept of blocking in Tekken 7 or at least to its fullest extent. So today I try to do my best to explain it in just few minutes, elaborating on how neutral guard works and why it is a terrible habit to rely on it.
The proper block in Tekken 7 follows the notation of B - for standing guard and DB - for crouching guard. Most of you know that holding B is vital, but for some reason only some realize that the very same concept applies to low strings in the game.
King's Alley Kicks or Stagger Kicks are the best example when it comes to that. Once you get hit by one kick (which is guaranteed on NH) all the next kicks are just an extension, however since its part of the 'string' you can't block it in neutral, so in order to block it you have to press and hold DB.
