0:00 Haunted Treeline
There are some tougher enemies here. Hopefully, you farmed random gear drops from the skeletons in the graveyard. The umbrella that one of the doggos can drop is also good for defensive skills. Be sure to worship the statue here.
4:35 Fishing Village
You can create a shortcut back to the graveyard to the north and get to a spider statue, which sells all stat boosting items.
The whale deity can teach you passive skills. You get two slots and I recommend the one that comes with HP regen, since it works outside of battle too.
You have to look for a samurai in the southern swamplands in order to get the fishing mechanic.
The inn has a long-running sidequest where you must find friendly skeletons and recruit them into the village.
13:10 Grave Peninsula
If you have a spare pickaxe, you can go into the nearby shack to fight a high-level mage enemy. It will show up later as a normal enemy, but for now, it'll be difficult to survive its attacks. You'll have to use defensive skills like Ward and Umbrella.
18:46 Mad Meadow
For some reason, there are people here obsessed with exorcising skeletons.
In the shack, you'll run into Witch Cat, who wants you to attack a tower full of elephants as part of another ongoing proxy war. There's also an NPC who wants you to deliver cold pizza to a house in the swamplands.
To the south is the Flooded Wetlands and to the north is the Ragmarian Ruins. The latter location is too high level right now, so skip it.

There's are two statues to worship here. I actually had to run back to previous statues when I realized I can worship at two different statues of the same deity.
33:13 Running Back to Old Areas
While looking for statues, I used a pickaxe to break a boulder covering a cave. This allowed me to recruit the town priest and access a bear statue.
36:10 Flooded Wetlands P2
The samurai is at the south of the map. He warns you not to head into Snake Crossing, and he's correct since it's a higher level area.
At the house you're supposed to deliver to, be sure to read the sign so that your character knows how to deliver the pizza. There's also a well that you can descend into, but you don't have the key item to continue through it.

You can create a shortcut back to the peninsula and access your first Owl statue, which lets you quick travel between all Owl statues.
You can find Violete setting up shop on this map. Unlike me, don't actually buy the key from her, since you can actually find it for free a bit later.

I just stopped by to check on some of the NPCs I led to this town. I also went to the Dollmaker's House in the Mad Meadow to report to the deliveryman.

46:59 Hall/Tower of Uniforms
The elephants in this tower are trying to form a hive mind cult. Be sure to look for the Memory of the Tower item, which gives you an extra passive slot. At the top, you learn that the cult members of the Uniformity of Nature weren't always elephants, but becoming a hive mind may have made their bodies similar too? They claim that no one has ever left Citadel City and that it's dangerous. They invite you to the cult, but attack when you refuse.

Fortunately, this is a fusion of elephants rather than a wolfpack boss. They can buff their Soul and Survival stats and lower your Strength. Once their HP is lowered enough, they'll apply regen to themselves. Note that they are weak to Noise damage.

You can now get the key item necessary to unlock certain doors. You also get the Mind Bottle, which can be used for no real effect?
Outside, an elephant will thank you for taking out the cult and restoring their sense of self.
Go back to the well in the Flooded Wetlands and use the new key item to go through. You'll find yourself in the back room of the Dollmaker's House, which has a key to a later area.
You can use the key item to further unlock the mountain area north of Papoulas Graveyard, where you can find an Owl statue.
