0:00 Not Sure Where to Start
I didn't realize I was supposed to talk to the scholars on the castle 1st floor to get help for the artifact quest. I ended up wandering all over until I went to Vexus, where the artifact isn't behind a locked door. Instead, it's guarded by a fish boss.
3:18 Boss: Trumpet Trout
The boss will place one party member under a status effect that prevents them from taking action. Every time this expires, the boss will randomly select a different party member to be canceled.
9:16 Making Progress
You'll get the Orange Trumpet.
I wandered aimlessly some more until I finally spoke to the Landia castle librarians, who gave me a Purple Key and a book that gives hints on the artifacts.
12:16 Landia Castle Underground
The enemies here are higher-leveled, but completing this dungeon will get you the Green Cornet.
14:45 Myconia's Violet Tuba
When you open the underground chest, you'll find it empty. The mayor hid the tuba somewhere in the ruins and gives you a detector. However, once you find the spot in the ruins, it says the tuba is actually hidden underneath the chest.
17:09 Garmuldar Hidden Room
In the market building, you'll find a purple door leading to another fish boss.
17:56 Boss: Trombone Tuna
The boss will switch between evading physical or magic attacks. You'll get the Yellow Trombone.
25:45 Volcano Hidden Path
This path requires you to dodge moving flames, but you can save in safe spots to make things easier. If you get burned 10 times, you get an achievement. At the end, you get the Red Saxophone.
29:49 Ice Cave Hidden Path
You'll have to go through a maze with limited visibility, though you can light a torch to slightly expand your vision. You get the Indigo Bugle.
33:30 Gathering the Artifacts
At Duneport, all party members, Zaheed, and Mazza play the instruments to summon the Prism Whale, which acts as an airship.
The landlocked island full of trees has an altar, which unlocks a portal to the bonus dungeon, the Bookshelf. I postponed exploring it in favor of checking out another airship only location.
41:46 The Mitten
This arena features refights against all the boss of the game on normal mode. The catch is that you cannot use items. Instead, everyone gets a one-time action called Renew, which acts like a self applied Soma Flask.
Unlike me, you may want to use Horace and the King instead of the OG party members, just to make things more interesting. You wouldn't even have to worry about grinding them, since all rounds have preset levels. I cut out the fights, since they're pretty much unchanged other than the no item limitation.
You get the powerful Champ's Belt for clearing all boss refights.
You'll find the Storyteller in the lobby, who you can challenge to a boss fight.

Unlike me, you may want to actually do the bonus dungeon first, since the levels and new gear will help. He will telegraph his ultimate single-target skill, which is magic-based and can be reflected if you get lucky.
After you win, you get a trophy based on what difficulty you beat him on.
