I have not raged so hard at a game yet this series as I have at this one. I have bested some terrible games in this time, but this is the one I have been closest to walking away from.

The AI is unbearable. The game's blood mechanic is critically important to every aspect of vampires. It powers their spells, and if it's drained completely, you are instantly killed. So, you'd think the AI would prioritize managing their blood to try to keep themselves afloat.

NOPE! They cast spells with impunity, then complain they're out of blood, until someone tries to drain them and they die. And, of course, if you try to switch to one character to drain blood from an enemy vampire - which you can do so with no penalties and can basically end a fight in one hit - your other characters will cast spells until they're out of blood. But even worse, if you start draining with one character, then switch to another character to drain someone else... the first character will LET THE VAMPIRE GO, which puts them back in the fight, and means you're still very low on blood.

So I've begun taking the Diakatana approach. I turn off their AI and leave them at the beginning of levels. You can't balance the blood of two characters, let alone four, and the AI refuses to do it themselves. It's the most maddening mechanic I have run into yet and I hate it with every fiber of my being.

We did at least make some, very minor, progress again. We're ready to head to the next area of the game. But just... wow. This is painful. And, given how long this is taking, I am going ahead and exporting my videos to YouTube the day I make them again, rather than waiting for the end of the game. Because I have a feeling I will be here more than two weeks.
