Video Game Shenanigans: Mercenaries Lament Final Boss, Tokyo ghoul grenade, FF6 & Zelda Tears Deaths
I may just do more compilation shorts (If I get ideas) as the editing challenge to 1 minute is fun.
Note that holy weapon and crimson rage in mercenaries lament are why I do so much damage and the boss (Berith on C path made from doing Julius' lockdown in chapter 11) cannot heal. Also, Lila has 705 aggro, which is why the boss targeted her twice (healing a group can make them like Frieza killing Dende).
The M Path is different (characters, ability and somewhat plot) and you get life orbs in free battle with harder EX battles (life orbs ex battles 1-3 and free battles 12, 14, and 16, which autosave every helps a ton) in New game plus (levels do not transfer but other stuff does, so maxing out early with the best equipment to synthesize more with a bigger budget may make weaker classes better, though hard mode is still tough here).
I did read hard mode needs to get all 3 free battle orbs (and 3 ex orbs) before chapter 19 (which is impossible if you overlooked one in your previous gams as the last one unlocks just before final battle unlike new game plus ex that wins to unlock, and the final boss I can't scratch while he one shots my party going twice).
I would recommend beating on easy and doing new game plus on normal as the difficulty spikes can be grind heavy (if not find a super gear though maybe elemental resistance can help).
Dirk in m Path has a guard pillar ability where I can't do more than 50 damage (90 holy and 150 ignore skill but they can miss) if the magic pillars too far in the back are Alive (no way I can reach first turn let alone earthquake immunity on an island so you'd need bows).
I edited this fandom for true route info (Amalie is saved) after chapter 18: https://mercenariessrpg.fandom.com/wiki/Orbs
Mystic Freesia act again works a lot better in New game plus for boss enemies, and you can get rare items from finishing off that 2nd turn (act again gives up a turn for her and you have easy maxed abilities now) with Lila's sentinel acceptance or Elmar's rare hunter soul Advent (merchant Marian's leader skill lucky find can help in grim reaper battles to get better stuff than the treasures). Burning slash and holy (synthesis) helps vs both final bosses given range as well as resistance (got better and won at level 45). The tonic item can buff attack of a group too, and things can stack.
Do admit the jason chainsaw for the death effect in ff6 was cool. Original kinda sucked that it would miss but this does damage or instant death rather than miss on death, and even stops reassembling undead who are normally immune.
In the Legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom, I did lose a heart rather than die but it's still funny. Glad the voucher was viable as $70 is ridiculous for a recycled interface (this adds minecraft), screwy physics, a lost/slow start, and people making game breaking build vids like drones.
