I was dismissive of this at first given the youtube videos do not display the quality of life in Ninja Jajamaru: The Lost RPGs. Do note this is a digital only collection, not included in the physical version of Ninja Jajamaru (that also has a manual). The menus are also dated in terms of item descriptions, limits (less than 12) and shopping but glad they tried).
The Ninja Scroll Book is what this video is about, and it's a turn-based rpg with dated menus (press start for character status). I also feel the flashing can be reduced if you shrink the video in options (and of course play on switch undocked). You can also recruit Sakura by going back to the first castle (no idea why the game doesn't automatically do this).
The other RPG, Legend of the Golden Castle, is an action RPG, kinda like startropics or Zelda, and can have unlimited bombs and shurikens to make the game play a lot easier.
I do appreciate these mods (you can also rewind and save state) as the games may be terribly dated on vanilla. Fighting the stupid dog to bad music until you win is hilarious (and I feel like Eustace from courage the cowardly dog).
I also wanted to show the status screen with unlimited gold that goes old school NES binary 2^16 = 65,536 though it subtracts one to be 65,535.
