Vietnamese Heroes vs Japanese Heroes | AoE II: Definitive Edition
Le Loi is a campaign in Age of Empires II HD: Rise of the Rajas. It focuses on the actions of Lê Lợi (1385 – 1433), the first emperor of Vietnam from the Later Lê dynasty, primarily on how he led the Vietnamese people on a revolt known as the Lam Sơn uprising to free themselves from the Chinese Ming dynasty occupation, which made him as one of the most famous figures and greatest heroes in the Vietnamese history.
Le Trien (Vietnamese: Lê Triện) is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II HD: Rise of the Rajas. He has the appearance of a Champion. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health. He is available in the A Three-Pronged Attack scenario from the Le Loi campaign, and the Scenario Editor.
Luu Nhan Chu (Vietnamese: Lưu Nhân Chú) is a foot archer hero in Age of Empires II HD: Rise of the Rajas. He can be found in the A Three-Pronged Attack scenario of Le Loi campaign, and is available in the Scenario Editor. In-game, he has the appearance of an Arbalester. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health.
Kitabatake is an infantry hero available in the Scenario Editor in Age of Empires II. He is based on Kitabatake Chikafusa (北畠 親房), who was a Japanese court noble, historian and writer of the 14th century. Despite his personal bias and political motives in his work on the history of Japan's feudal government and Imperial line, they are some of the most detailed accounts available.
In the game, Kitabatake is represented by a Samurai but with better stats. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health (since The Conquerors). Like other infantry units, Kitabatake is affected by all upgrades that affect infantry as well as any other bonuses that affect them.
Minamoto is an infantry hero in Age of Empires II. He is available in the Scenario Editor and also appears in the Kurikara scenario in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten, where he becomes available once the player captures the Monument from the enemy. He is based on Minamoto no Yoritomo (源 頼朝), the founder and first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate.
In the game, he has the appearance of a Samurai. Like other infantry, Minamoto is affected by all upgrades that affect infantry as well as any other bonuses that affect them. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health (since The Conquerors).
Nobunaga is an infantry hero available in the Scenario Editor in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors. He also appears in the Kyoto scenario. He is based on Oda Nobunaga (織田 信長), who was a powerful daimyō of Japan in the late 16th century who attempted to unify Japan. Nobunaga was regarded as one of three unifiers of Japan along with his retainers Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
In-game, he has the appearance of a Samurai. His stats are similar, but he has lightning-fast attack, striking twice per second (as opposed to once per two seconds, which is the standard Rate of Fire for melee units). Like other infantry, Nobunaga is affected by all upgrades that affect infantry as well as any other bonuses that affect them. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health.
