Visiting Minecraft: Little House on the Quarry (Part 1/2) - MMO Anthropology
I've covered Minecraft before in an impressions video about the first examination of the Drunkencraft server and the implications of code as management of online communities. Minecraft is interesting because it provides a creative working-space that can be collaborated on by multiple players at once and it's also a single player game with creative hybridized RPG elements.
In a way, it's a medium that has a multitude of strange uses and a great deal of study can still be made into the impact its made on this generation of MMO gaming culture.
