So in this video I'm vlogging on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 just because I woke up this morning thinking about it and I did say that it was something I was going to try.
While the Galaxy Tab S7 is the smaller and lighter of the two S7s, it's probably in all fairness still pushing the limits :) I'm not entirely sure if vlogging on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ would be a great idea. But if I can get my hands on one, I'll most certainly give it a crack vlogging on the Galaxy S7 Plus, even if it does look ridiculous :)
While the Galaxy Tab S7 may not be the first vlogging camera that springs to mind, if you can usable vlogging results from it, then why not :)
Although I thought it'd be a bit windy before I went out, which is why I used the RODE Wireless GO as the external vlogging microphone for the Galaxy Tab S7. I had absolutely no idea on how bad the weather would turn. By the end of the testing, it was absolutely pouring.
So while these weren't good vlogging conditions, I think this extreme vlogging use will give you some ideas of worse case scenario.
I will be doing more vlogging on the Galaxy Tab S7 using external microphones. I'll also show a couple of ways to setup external microphones for vlogging on the Galaxy Tab S7, a simple way using a TRRS cable and a more involved way using a USB audio interface.
When I get better weather I'll also try some pure picture quality tests of both the front and back cameras on the Galaxy Tab S7. I will also do some examples of internal use in a controlled environment using the Galaxy Tab S7 as a YouTube camera for indoor vlogging and podcasting and for product shots etc.
