Voxel Doom + Hideous Destructor | Return of the Triad: Hidden Base | No Failure No HUD Run
43Got reminded of this after the release of Ludicrous Edition recently. I've actually already got this mod somewhat wiretorn around 2020, but there were some complications. Complications that I couldn't quite figure out how to fix, which is why some things are going to be a pinch awkward like the lack of intermission screens and the GADs in a permanent state of having only one sprite.
Still though, it was mostly playable! Might as well give it a proper test run for today. Played the map enough times that I'm confident enough to do another no HUD run, been a while since I last attempted something like that. But it's not all! You might notice that there's another mod name next to HDest. Indeed so, it's Voxel Doom!
Now, naturally not all of HDest's stuff are automatically voxelicized when loading the aforementioned mod, but a modder by the name of mickromash have been nice enough to help fill in the blanks in that sector. Even comes with a separate addon to have voxels as viewmodels, even if they're a bit funny all close up like that. I don't think I'll be loading them all that often, but they're very nice for when I want some variety in the usual runs.
I'm also in a Flashpoint mood for today, so you might notice me sprinkling some powder on top of the porridge today. Nothing major, it's no big ol' reskin set like all the other themed runs I do. People who have played the game might notice a thing or two from there, though.
