So. Let me get this straight. Kunio broke OUT of jail... to break INTO school? Doesn't he spend all his time NOT attending class and just generally thugging out with all his thugfriends and thugrivals and thugenemies? Y'know... when he's not too busy SAVING THE WORLD... um... from SPORTS. By sporting around. With familiar thugfaces.

Is. Sport. Um. An act of. Thug? (No wonder I never had any aptitude for it.)

After running all night long from the authorities, I'm glad Hiroshi has his priorities in order. He's worried it would be BORING to stand watch. Outside the school he's supposed to be attending. Where there's an authority figure in plain view.

W-Wait, how did Takayama get here ahead of us?! AFTER being beaten senseless before we continued our jaunt back to... school. Y-Yay.

Spoiler alert, just so you won't actually worry: this is the last we see of Hiroshi for this game. He didn't watch out for us. He just committed various felonious nonviolent acts and complained. And got weirdly mushy during visiting hours.

Honestly, if he didn't get beaten to a pulp, this was actually a GOOD adventure for him. Always nice to go out on a high note, right?

Although... um... is it actually ALLOWED for Misako to wear that non-uniform for class? Also, where are the teachers? (Spoiler again: there won't be any. Ever!) I guess it makes sense that a thug-ette would be the one to skirt the rules, even if we've got zero evidence up to this point that she's indeed just as thuggish as her (for the moment) beau.

But speaking of uniforms... there's a shocking lack of actual Nekketsu uniforms being worn here? Either they're not even remotely... well, UNIFORM... or... well, it would appear that the school is overrun by a bunch of same-faced Hanazono punks... for some reason. (And Riki finds this not at all remarkable?)

Obviously, this is a matter of convenience for players to avoid making things any more action-illegible than necessary in the heat of battle, but it still feels and looks strange under any level of even minor scrutiny. So you see, I absolutely HAD to remark on it!

Even the "exception" of Daiki wearing Kunio's uniform (wait, really? it's not... identical to his own normal school-issued clothing?) maintains this, because Kunio and Riki are still wearing their prison... erm... also technically "uniforms" (See? The system works!), so the action is as readable as a punch to the face at all times!

I feel like it's important to point out that this isn't some kind of subversive element by which Kunio demonstrates just how much of a rebel against authority he is... the uniform color for Nekketsu High School really IS white, hence Hiroshi wearing it... and it being favored for all other games wherein you would see other kids affiliated with Nekketsu. You just wouldn't be fighting THEM, because Kunio is their resident guardian tough guy. He's their bancho! Lead us, o glorious thug-in-chief!
