Walk Souls is a commentary on the levels and spaces of Souls-like games, focused on the feeling of walking as it pertains to traveling through, within, around, near, towards, away from spaces (buildings, fields, caves, etc) within the game.

Because plenty of more exciting footage is out there, Walk Souls avoids combat footage (of bosses and enemies) unless it is particularly relevant to some observation on the area, and will try to stick to an under-15-minute format as of episode 04-Dark Souls II !


EPISODE DESCRIPTION

We explore the area around Lost bastille's Tower apart bonfire, then look at parts of Lost bastille's 2nd main leg (between the post-ruin-sentinel bonfire and the sinner's rise bonfire). There are a few cool shortcuts in the process, showing Lost Bastille's looping and slightly entangled structure.



NOTES

Roof area: not too much to say, but it's another roof you can add to the game's list of roof-like areas. this one is more like an apartment roof in the city. flat, with air conditioning stuff.

The "backyard" feeling area in Lost bastille is cool, as well as how it links the ending section to the beginning section. We also see a neat elevator which links the area in terms of verticality. Lost bastille is pretty complex but you can always orient yourself with the mountain, ocean, and the moon!

there's a feeling of being in a yard during a barbeque thanks to the wooden shelter and the open yard and stone walls. that's neat, esp in an area like this.
