Warpath with 3D spatial sound (OpenAL Soft HRTF audio) Obscure Arena FPS from 2006

You know all those generic multiplayer Arena shooters like Nexuiz and Toxikk that have bland electronic music and instantly-forgettable robots as playable characters? Warpath is basically their grandpa...their wrinkly, senile grandpa. Now you might think this obscure game doesn't look that bad from the footage, but trust me: Warpath is everything wrong with the Xbox generation wrapped up in a $20 package. For starters, this game does the Quake Live thing by having weapon loadouts instead of placing guns throughout the maps. Rather than health pickups, you have the exact same Hypospray as in Pariah and it's made worse by the fact that you'll die in 1 second anyay. None of the guns in Warpath look, sound, or feel like you'd want them to in an Arena FPS. For instance, the shotgun sounds like the CS:S Galil, takes 2 shots to kill point-blank, and has a measly 6-round magazine that takes 6 whole seconds to reload!
Warpath might be the most broken, unplayable Arena shooter ever made. I don't quite know if it was meant to supplement the "Risk-style, turn based movement on a hex grid map" in the single-player or vice-versa, but I can totally see why this game is so unknown today. For crying out loud, Warpath came out the week after Prey! The worst thing about Warpath are the controls which are hard to convey with words alone. If it wasn't obvious enough already, Warpath is just a copypasta of Pariah hence the same shitty guns, melee attack, and hypospray. However, Pariah was a Halo 2 clone whereas this game rips off UT2k4. Imagine playing UT99 on Hardcore but with sluggish Doom engine acceleration and Halo's jumping. Now wipe the vomit off your monitor and realize that this is the reality of Warpath.
As for the 3D positional audio, I was shocked. Even though nearly everything else about this game was copied and pasted wholesale from Pariah, the binaural audio quality is terrible for some reason. Without HRTF, the game practically sounds like it's in mono due to the horrendous sound mixing that makes the audio sound as muddy as the overly-designed visuals look. Don't ask me why most of the textures in the DM map are missing BTW. I'm chalking that up to Digital Extremes rushing this demo out the door. Also, Youtube's encoding cut the framerate in half from the original footage so sorry about that.
