WedSNESday: Let's Play Batman Returns (SNES)
It's still winter holiday time and what better way to celebrate this week than the Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito superhero joint: Batman Returns - the Batman movie that everybody thought was a little too crazy until the George Clooney Batman movies decided to turn the insanity all the way up to eleven. It's time to bean clowns with batarangs and fight the ultimate Batman villain: C. Taser as Matt & Luke hit the streets and enjoy the movie: the game.
Batman Returns was developed and published for the SNES in 1993 by Konami, though there were a large number of differing versions, each developed by different studios. It was a licensing free-for-all. It plays as a standard fare belt-scrolling beat 'em up reminiscent of Final Fight. The player takes the role of Batman and needs to battle through the forces of the Red Triangle Circus Gang to find and defeat the Penguin.
