By fortuitous coincidence, Luke & Matt played the 1992 Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo this week, just days before the release of the bodacious new Ninja Turtles trailer. Though the NPCs don't quite make it into the time travel portion of the game, they slam and ninja their way through the Big Apple and streets of Manhattan, making mince meat out of the classic TMNT rogues gallery, while reminiscing about Ninja Turtles memories as kids of the 80's.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time was the 4th Ninja Turtles game created by Konami, released in 1992 on Super Nintendo, based on the Arcade title of the same name. A similar but different Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist was released the same year on Sega Genesis. It follows the trend of its predecessors II and III, and is played as a side-scrolling beat 'em up where up to 2 players take on the role of the eponymous Ninja Turtles and battle with The Shredder and his dubiously moraled Foot Clan.

WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
