In this video, we are pleased to announce that we will be returning to the Missouri Game Con August 3, 2019
2018 was a year of firsts for this channel. For the first time we surpassed 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, and 4,000 subscribers. We also attended our first video game convention ever, the Missouri Game Con. A lot of that was thanks to the outstanding John Riggs who invited me to partake in his Open Cart Surgery LIVE panel, as I brought my tools and soldering equipment with me for him to use, that way he didn't have to bring his on an airplane. Well, this year the pressure is all on me as we are coming back, and I will be hosting my own solo panel.
This year's MoGameCon once again it happens at the Saint Charles Community College, just outside of St. Louis. Doors open on August 3 at 9:30 in the morning for early pass holders, and to the general public at 10:30. There will be resellers, vendors, other YouTubers including Pat the NES punk, Adam Koralik and Norm the Gaming Historian will be there, amongst others on site.
My panel will be focusing on the Nintendo 64, a console that has been getting a lot of attention in the last 12 to 18 months. What I am going to do is purchase a Nintendo 64 on site, I'm going to install one of Voultar’s RGB mod kits on-site, and test it out using both standard composite video cables, S-video cables, and HD Retrovision cables. I am also going to install a region free mod into the system, and demonstrate how the system plays Japanese imports during this panel.
In addition to hardware mods, I'm also going to cover accessories and additional modifications. We will even have the Eon Gaming Super 64 on hands for people to check out! We are also going to discuss some of the newer controller options that are out there, such as the Retro Fighters Brawler 64, and the Retro-Bit Tribute 64. We will even discuss the Admiral from Hyperkin, however I don't believe it will be released at the time of this convention.
This convention has a special place in my heart as the first convention we ever attended. We were welcomed with open arms by the community, and Ginger and I had an absolute blast. We are thrilled and honored to be invited to come back again this year, to show our support, to hang out with the fans, and to see cool things and cool people. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and sharing stories along the way. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel as we will likely do a floor walk and live stream of the events!
