The more things change, the more they remain the same. Particularly where the tactics of leftists are concerned. Now you might say, what does a TV show from the Sixties prove? Well nothing, except that they correctly identified every important aspect of Leftist insurrection.

America didn't turn into the land of communists, effeminizers and the cult of victimhood overnight. Leftists have been surprisingly consistent in their approach from the student protests of 1968 until today. They use the same methods. Cancel culture wasn't invented in 2020. Neither was destruction of property to put pressure on dissenters to conform to the ideology. Neither was driving people from their jobs or from universities for daring to dissent from the doctrine. Neither was the cozy relationship between leftists and the news media. Neither was the dehumanization of cops and other enemies of the leftists. "Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon" wasn't really invented in 2020 or in the Ferguson riots. Maybe they didn't dare to actually say "kill police" in 1968 but it was not from a lack of desire.

No, the only difference between 1968 and today was that the majority of Americans then knew that the protesters were spoiled overprivileged children whose parents spared the rod and spoiled the child. Today, with their allies in the media and corporations, the enemies of civilization are on the verge of winning.

Without laws and law enforcers, there is no justice and no peace. And those laws must be applied and enforced equally to everyone, whether they have a political or ideological cause to their crimes or not. Without that, society will inevitably disintegrate.
