We interrupt your regularly scheduled gameplay entertainment to bring you this important message about your mother freaking Constitutional rights. And why you might want to hold onto them.

I have never in my life belonged to the NRA, until a month ago. The reason why I joined, is that Democrats have dropped the pretense of only wanting to control guns. They want to confiscate guns in the same manner that they have been confiscated in Britain and Australia.

I have only ever bought one gun (some adopted me, many in dire need of a visit to a gunsmith.) I haven't been to a shooting range in years (that will change.) I was guilty as many are of thinking that our gun rights will be around forever. If the Dems and others have their way, they WON'T. Biden wants to abolish the 2nd Amendment, Beto wants to go into the homes of law-abiding citizens and confiscate their guns. He said so. He means it.

I think Mr. Heston has a few words for that: FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS.

I personally wouldn't care if I never fired a gun again, I have no particular love for them recreationally. But gun ownership is a Constitutional right and there is a very good reason why it is a Constitutional right. Because those who would control you and me, or coerce you or me, or enslave us, would think twice if the populace was heavily armed. Once the guns are gone, if the government or their corporate owners WANT to own you, they WILL own you. And indeed they want to own you.

Because power corrupts, and the more power, the more it corrupts. For the sake of the country, keep this power and our guns out of their hands.
