3The science fiction movie Avatar - The Way of Water was released on December 16 and has netted close to Rs 140 cr within the first four days. Analysts are expecting net collections to touch the Rs 300 cr mark in Q3 as average ticket prices are trending higher than average, and occupancies in premium format (especially IMAX 3D) are trending upwards of 50% even during weekdays in a metro city like Mumbai. Also, except for Cirkus, which is set to hit the big screen on December 23, no big-ticket release is lined up, giving Avatar a free run at the box office.
