18Media reports suggest that there is shortage of Ibuprofen and paracetamol in China due to rising Covid-19 cases and the demand for medicines is expected to rise. However, the prices have not moved up yet globally for Ibuprofen. IOL Chemical & Pharma is the largest producer of Ibuprofen with ~35% Global share and commenced paracetamol production in April 2022. Solara Active Pharma's-Vizag facility received European approval to manufacture Ibuprofen.Granules India has world's largest Paracetamol API facility. Analysts say companies don't have permission to sell in China and even the raw material comes from China, which could adversely affect the afore-mentioned companies.
