What if Mario's "Neutral Special" was a GUN?

We all know that our heroic plumber in RED shoots out a Fireball in "Super Smash Bros" for his Neutral Special (and the same can easily be said for Luigi-boi, except HIS contains different properties), but what if Nintendo actually gave him a GUN for his "Neutral Special" instead? While I know that'll NEVER happen [unless you consider the very fact that in the BETA Version of "Super Mario Sunshine"... Mario had a Water Gun for a Fifth Nozzle, which was eventually scrapped due to players thinking it was too violent], this fan-game kinda gave me a reason to hate the concept of him just wielding one.

To give you a solid perspective of what I mean, I want you to imagine that Nintendo created & released a regular "2D Mario Platforming Game" that's filled with hidden goodies, extra content, and having mah boi LUIGI as an unlockable/optional character to the general public. The game sold extremely well, and it's ratings practically skyrocketed through the roof-- eventually transforming the title into a record-breaking masterpiece.

And now I want you to imagine that masterpiece eventually receiving it's first ever "DLC Pack", and the very first downloadable thing Nintendo decided to make available for that game alone... was a GUN that Mario could use. While you may be thinking that it doesn't sound too bad, please think about how that'll change the ENTIRE dynamic of the game as a whole. The jumping & platforming will be relatively unaffected, but hearing Mario say "HA!!!" every time it's fired will most DEFINITELY get you annoyed in a heartbeat.

And remember when I said the jumping & platforming will be relatively unaffected? Well, when I said "relatively"... I mean using it to shoot platforms that you absolutely NEED to bypass. (And that happens a LOT in this game.) So prepare to face on-going obstacles, obtain some incredibly explosive new weapons, and feel the need to conceal the fact that seeing Mario holding a GUN of any kind is the most cursed thing you'll ever see in your life when you play: "Hello Gun Game Plus".
