The most UNEXPECTED character finally joins the "Smash 64" roster...
I remember the very first 'Smash Bros.' game the I've EVER played being "Super Smash Bros 64". Back when I was just a curious young teenager, playing horror games & flash games was my primary home-stay. (And yeah... R.I.P "Adobe Flash Player". You will forever be missed.) But my passion for the classics had only formed when I finally discovered the power of emulation. [And trust me when I say that "Kirby's Adventure" for the NES actually dragged me even deeper into the magical world of emulation.]
"Smash 64" was the very first 'Smash Bros Game' I ever played back when middle school was a HUGE bother, and looking back on those memories now... it still manages to hold loads of nostalgia for me. Getting through "1 Player Game" mode as fast as possible [not by speedrunning, of course] was a priority I always set for myself back when I started playing it... but seeing as those particular times have long-since faded, I always make sure to have fun playing ANY video-game without getting bored of it. [Every game has replay value, meaning that no matter how low-quality it is, there will ALWAYS be something new for you to try out, even if you haven't done so before.]
However... this particular 'ROM Hack' took what 'Smash 64' did (along with every other 'Smash Bros.' Title), and put it all into one unique bundle. This mod introduced brand-new "Modes", "Characters", "Break The Targets", "Board The Platforms", "Race To The Finish" and more in a completely unique bundle, which would make any normal build of "Smash 64" shutter at the very thought of becoming something greater than what it already established. [Especially when it comes to localization, too. Don't worry-- this "ROM Hack" has plenty of that stuff, too. ;D ] Sounds crazy, am I right???
Of course, when I brought up "Characters"... I didn't really think I'd be talking about Dr. Mario, Young Link, Ganondorf, Falco, Dark Samus, Wario, Lucas, and Bowser. (But that's only the current roster as of this update. Who know what characters they could possibly add going from this point forward...) Some of their movesets are taken directly from "Smash Ultimate" & some of the other previous entries, while most others are completely original. It really balances out what made the entire roster unique to begin with, and just knowing that a lot of care went into this fan-made project alone is what led me to support it's continued development. Thanks "Remix Team"!
But of course... there's one thing I've been leaving out that I should probably mention right now, and it's the fact that "Remix Team" actually went the extra mile and made the "Mad Piano" from 'Super Mario 64' [in "Big Boo's Haunt"] a playable character! What a CURSED sight to behold!!! {For whatever reason though, playing as such a highly unorthodox character somehow improved my usual performance here... which is pretty rare in my case.} This video will be centered on me playing through "1 Player Game" with this character, so I really hope that you'll bear with me if the video is a bit laggy in the audio/gameplay department. I actually double-checked it to see if it worked properly, and what you see here is what you're getting for now. {I hope you'll understand...}
