0What Is "Bypass Re-Encode When Possible" In DaVinci Resolve? Using ProRes On A Mac Studio M1 Ultra
In this video I explain what the Bypass Re-Encode When Possible function is in DaVinci Resolve, using ProRes as the codec on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra.
In a nutshell. This function is basically Smart Render. Smart Rendering is a process that doesn't transcode or re-encode an export or render output if the content being encoded for an export is the same codec and usually the same encoding parameters as the timeline source.
This produces a bit for bit or byte for byte identical copy of the source video file and also exports very fast as technically there is no render or transcode going on.
