Post Traumatic Growth.
Have you ever heard of the term Post Traumatic Growth? If not, you are not alone.
A lot of my clients haven't heard of the term including a lot of people who have experienced trauma. It isn't a term that most people talk about. In fact, the term is rather "new" in today's literature on trauma.
From a practical perspective, post traumatic growth is the idea that after having experienced something traumatic, you find positive growth and psychological benefit from the experience. You grow.
In this video, I discuss Post Traumatic Growth from my perspective and show you how it works outside of the literature.
I believe there are a few steps that need to be taken in order to actually experience true post-traumatic growth.
