Welp, I managed to do it. I was kind of hoping for an even quicker stream to wrap things up, but at least I finished well before midnight. Honestly, I would've been incredibly demoralized if it took me a full stream session to finish this game. Or worse, not finish it at all...

Fortunately, that didn't come to pass.

Admittedly, I did look up a decent strategy to fight the dragon that gave me so much trouble, which made it a breeze in the long run. Kind of ironic, when you remember that it was essentially my major stumbling block the last time around. If anything, the Skeleton Miner became my main adversary this time around, simply due to the fact that his main attack paralyzes you, sends rocks in multiple directions and summons four boulders that just basically block any attempt at attacking him.

Then Zoda's final form ended up being a pain as well, especially when he added a brand-new attack to his arsenal: a spinning attack that makes him invincible... and seems like it can only be stopped by taking the brunt of it once. I'm sure there's some way to avoid it, but I couldn't figure it out before beating him. So I just went with my most reliable method for any pattern I can't comprehend.

I tanked it.

And eventually, I managed to emerge victorious.

Unfortunately, that massive difficulty spike at the end ended up costing Zoda's Revenge half a point in my book. But I still think that overall, I prefer it over the original. I just wish there could've been even more games in the series. I mean, it seems like there was a half-hearted sequel hook in the game's ending. Imagine if we had gotten "Super StarTropics" where Mike Jones heads to Argonia to save the day one more time. All they would've needed to do was tighten up the controls just a little bit and it would've been amazing. Maybe it could've even been on par with A Link to the Past.

Oh well. Can't win 'em all.
