why do i care so much about this stupid PS2 TRPG - Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity

Nuanced explorations of apathy, religion, environmentalism, capitalist systems of control… am I talking about some classic literature? No… I’m talking about a stupid PS2 TRPG called Stella Deus of course (I mean the title of the video kinda gave that away didn’t it). This is one of my favorite games not only to play, but also in terms of thinking about the themes of it’s story, so why is the modern reception to this game pretty lukewarm or straight up negative? Well… um… give me nearly 40 minutes of your time and you may find out lol.
