PTSD and family trauma can trigger a variety of stress responses in your body.
Fight or Flight are two processes that can negatively affect the body if the "warning red light" doesn't shut off.
Sometimes this happens at bedtime or when things are quiet enough for your mind to wonder. Nightmares are very common in PTSD and other forms of trauma.
Nightmares may include bits and pieces of details from your day, week, or the month.
Other kinds of nightmares may entail sleep paralysis and bits and pieces from your traumatic past.
In this LIVE video, I will discuss family and general trauma and its relationship to nightmares.
