Why Henry Cavill is Adorably Obsessed With The Witcher 3
651Henry Cavill is just so cute when he gets excited about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The star of Netflix's adaptation of The Witcher novels may be a big fancy Hollywood beefcake, but he's also a total video game nerd.
Yes, apparently Superman himself is such a big fan of gaming, especially The Witcher games, that when he heard Geralt of Rivia was coming to streaming, he pestered Netflix's producers over and over and over until they finally gave in and let him play the lead role.
Forget star power: we can all aspire to be as annoying as Henry Cavill when someone mentions The Witcher.

Is Henry Cavill the best choice for Geralt? Well, he certainly wanted it more than anyone else, for whatever that's worth. BretonStripes isn't too keen on Henry, while Kotor thinks he's a solid actor who got hamstrung with awkward direction in the role of Superman. Either way, he's pleasantly charming, so when we get season two of The Witcher, it'll be interesting to see what else he does with the character.
In the meantime, we can all appreciate his magical disappearing mustache. This video was a really fun one to make, so even though basically nobody is going to watch it (we've missed the window of relevance for the topic and YouTube's algorithm doesn't love us unless we're being timely), it was fun to make.
