The former head of Nintendo of America has accepted a position on GameStop's board of directors, and the resounding cry from the video game community is: why?

Why, Reggie? Why sully your reputation by jumping onto the sinking ship that is GameStop, a company which reported massive losses in 2019 and which recently had to close a significant number of its stores worldwide?

Well, as it turns out, this is very much Reggie's thing. He's shown an interest across his career in taking failing brands and turning them into something wonderful. For proof of this, you need look no further than Reggie's work with Nintendo itself.
