Why I Kinda Hate RPGs
160The RPG genre is a ridiculously popular one filled with die hard fans who spend hundreds of hours exploring and experiencing their favourite games and for whatever reason I decided it was a good idea to pick a fight with em.
Obviously not really, none of this video is meant to convince you that RPGs are bad or you shouldn't enjoy them, that'd be stupid, mainly this is just a way for me to get my personal thoughts out there and invite discussion on whether some of these points warrant my distaste or if I maybe need to readjust how I view these games. Watching some of the footage I used to make this video actually made me want to try a couple of these games again, give 'em one last swing with a different outlook. If you have opinions on the genre, positive or negative, I'd really love to hear your thoughts in the comments so I can build my understanding and hopefully give these games another go.
