Ironhide was undoubtedly 1 of the coolest Autobots in the Transformers movies. His tough as nails persona made him look like the enforcer of the group. But something that's always been questioned is his slightly altered appearance in all of the promotional material. Particularly his face. Many fans have asked why he doesn't have a nose like he does in the movies. If you notice his nostrals and upper lip are black as opposed the silver. But what we're really looking at is his battle mask. And while it was never used in any of the movies its still used in all of the tie-in material such as the games and comics. The reason being is that the design was most likely approved by Hasbro before the 1st movie released. And is used as the primary concept for which they wanted all of his promotional material to look outside of the movies.
