So, why did Thrones of Britannia fail? This was a game that could've been a revitalization of Total War, bringing the early medieval time period back into focus. Instead, it's been three years, and the game is all but dead, clinging on to a few hundred players here and there.

There is not just one reason for it's failure, although the biggest one might just be what caused it; the use of the graphics engine from Total War: Attila, also known as the worst Total War engine ever.
