It has been almost five years since I uploaded a video of a computer operating system starting up and shutting down in Oracle VM VirtualBox, so I decided to record and upload another one. This time, it has system sounds heard instead of music playing in the background.

After winning an eBay auction for the Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 Upgrade CD-ROM release and using it to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP Home Edition SP1 in VirtualBox, I decided to finally demonstrate this Windows XP edition in it. Windows XP Home Edition was the Windows XP edition I mostly used throughout my childhood. VirtualBox's video recording function was causing problems with the frame rate and system sounds, so I had to use Camtasia Studio 8 to record footage of the VM window instead. Enjoy!
