In today's video we are taking a look at a team for the Master League Classic without using any Legendary Pokemon. There are many strong picks for the Master League Classic that are not legendary such as Excadrill, Mamoswine and Garchomp, but building a competitive team can be difficult. The one used in this video was able to net me three positives, going 9-6 overall. This is not a mind-blowing record by any means but it does show that there is potential to win consistently in the Master League Classic without needing to use Legendary Pokemon.
The team operates in a sort of ABB style with Dragonite in the lead and two Pokemon in the back that have play against both Dialga and Zacian, arguably the two most destructive Pokemon in the meta. Swampert is actually a very underrated pick for the Master League with the ability to beat Zacian, Dialga and Melmetal while also being able to defeat some of the hardest counters for these Pokemon such as Ho-Oh, Groudon, Excadrill and Metagross.
One of the biggest threats to this team will be Exacdrill in the lead but aside from that, there is decent coverage overall and as an ABB team, it works as intended. Overall this is a solid non-Legendary team option and I would recommend it to anyone that has the Pokemon available to them but lacking on Legendary options.
In this video we use a team consisting of: Dragonite (Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Hurricane), Swampert (Mud Shot, Hydro Cannon*, Earthquake) & Metagross (Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash*, Earthquake).
