WinPad - A tablet edition of Windows from 1992 (Tutorial & Demo)
Ever heard of WinPad? Probably not. WinPad is considered to be the predecessor to Windows CE, and started development in the summer of 1992. It's goal was to put Windows on tablet computers. While WinPad failed because it was ahead of it's time, it was eventually merged with another development group at Microsoft to create Windows CE.
