Make sure before you do this quest you do The Kayran: A Matter of Price and The Kayran: Ostmurk. The first phase of this boss fight involves baiting tentacles and trapping them with Yrden, then using Silver sword attacks to sever the tentacles one by one. You cannot cut the two center tentacles so do two on one side then use Quen for protection as you cross the field to the other side and cast Yrden to repeat the cycle. Once the third tentacle is cut you trigger a series of quick time events. Press right click as the tentacle swings at you, then a series of left clicks to damage it, then finally hit space to jump off. After the quick time events the bridge will collapse and Geralt must run to cover behind the debris and cast Quen. The Kayran will begin throwing rocks so wait until one hits your cover then make a run for the bridge. Dodge the tentacles as you climb the rubble to finish the beast off from above.
