Endzone 2 released in Early Access on August 26th 2024. It is developed by Gentlymad Studios and Published by Assemble Entertainment.
The sequel to the original brings new features and upgreades. They have reworked the way you discover and interact with expeditions. It is now a lot more approachable and easier to do so.
Resource buildings can now be placed near other resource buildings and depots in order to receive production boosts. This is not a requirement but only optional if you want higher production.
The game has borrowed a lot of features from the Anno games. You now can have multiple bases in island-like areas of the world map. You can travel between them with your vehicle and you can set trade routes. Setting up trade routes is almost identical to Anno. That is not necessarily a bad thing, as that was already a well thought out feature that was easy to understand.
The rest of the game is mostly the same. Collect scrap, recycle it, manage your water and food levels and make sure you stay ahead of the radiation levels while you keep researching new technologies to progress your settlement further.
Looking forward to what the roadmap brings and to the full release of the game.
