WITWI - REMEDIUM: Sentinels, Is It Lacking? [ULTRAWIDE IMPRESSIONS]
0Remedium Sentinels is essentially a nicer looking Vampire Survivors, but considerably more lacklustre in content and features. You only have 6 maps to pick from, a handful of weapons, and what I would consider an acceptable amount of enemy variety.

- Actual story (kinda)
- Nice soundtrack
CONS:
- Slow paced
- Slim selection of weapons
- Limited global upgrades
- Slow progression
- "Ultimate" weapon upgrades are significantly worse than the base

My biggest gripe with this game is the amount of content you have to play with. There are only 6 stages, each one offering an "endless" mode that you can waste some time on but ultimately gets quite boring.
Furthermore, the amount of weapons you get are just unsatisfyingly small. Only a handful of active and passive abilities are offered, and even less so are useful and desirable. What is even more disappointing are the ultimate upgrades for the active skills. Most of them are a disappointment as they change the weapon in a significantly less useful manner.
For example, one of the evolved upgrades for the mortar makes them bouncy and deal more damage. As soon as I got that upgrade, I lost. The delay in explosion means that the enemies damaged are too far away to make a difference. You will quickly get swarmed and die.
Another elemental upgrade is a poison attribute. They just deal poison damage. This might sound like a good upgrade but it is not. You are better off holding onto the fully upgraded weapons for the most part (Which is only level 5). The only weapon that makes one of those upgrades worthwhile is the emitter. Specifically the electric upgrade.
Overall, the price for this game is inoffensive. If you manage to snag it on sale even better. I do prefer the elevated, but still simple, graphics compared to VS. The rest of the game however is vastly inferior, in my opinion.
