Silly crashing game and your bugs. And that's everything worth doing in Wolfenstein 2 outside of Mein Leben difficulty. And the challenge areas i guess.

Time for DOOM.

Score.

Visuals: 9/10
The game looks great. Lots of cool set-pieces put throughout the game. The DLC goes through mostly similar looking places and they all still look good.

Story: 7/10
Cool alternate history theories are fun. I thought the first part of the game was great with BJ's somber internal monologues. There were also quite a few unexpected turns in the story. My issue is that is ends in a fairly anti-climactic way. Especially if you compare it to The New Order's ending. Also, something about the story feels weird, like it is staggered or something. I can't quite put my finger on it. Also, the God Key is set up to be important and is left completely unexplained.

Sound: 7.5/10
It's a Mick Gordon soundtrack. It doesn't play all the time though, mostly when a fight breaks out. But it's basically a slightly lighter DOOM type track. Sound effects for the guns are pretty nice too. Good voice acting, especially BJ's in the first part of the game.

Gameplay: 8/10
The game feels good to play. A decent amount of options are available to you in weapons and you get some cool gadgets that affect how you move through the environments partway through the story. Stealth can be wonky, so sometimes a good strategy is to pick off a bunch of guys silently, then go loud. Going hyper-aggressive in a DOOM 2016 like manner works as well to an extent, even in harder difficulties. However, a style in between those two tends to fail, leaving the creativity you are allowed to use viably to be your weapon selection.

Replayability: 7/10
With the timeline choice at the game's start, there actually wholly different cutscenes and certain parts of the game, and even the ending cutscene is different. There's the final hardest difficulty after you beat the game once, but I'd say unless you're a masochist, don't do it. It's the literally the "I m Death Incarnate" mode, but you only have 1 life. The DLC stories have that mode too. There's also the challenge maps. Then there's the usual collectable affair, which it mitigated a bit by being able to revisit areas with map markers pointing out their locations.

Overall: 8/10
I'd recommend this to people who like shooters that may want something a bit different. They should play The New Order first however since it's the story before this one, obviously. The New Order is about as good as this game in my opinion, so that should be no problem.
