WRC 8: The Official Game (2019) - Every PC Rally Game
WRC 8: FIA World Rally Championship - The Official Game by KT Racing/Bigben Interactive, 2019.
After a year out making V-Rally 4, Kylotonn strapped back into making the official WRC games, and again, it's another step up. This one with improved graphics and dynamic weather, that can change during a stage. There's new visual effects, one of which is a smooth blur on the car as it passes (replay modes are much better with drone shots interspersed with tracking cameraman shots).
Handling is a lot crisper and more predictable, with a (possibly overpowered, yet completely useful) handbrake that works wonders!
Cars again cover WRC Junior, WRC2, WRC and a few more bonus cars. Much of the stages are lifted from WRC7 however. The snowing effects are a little of a let-down, looking much more like rain than snow.
There's a new co-driver, and the long "Epic Stages" return, but, much like the DiRT Rally games, the stages are often one big stage chopped up into smaller parts for other stages, which feels a bit repetitive when playing them back-to-back.
Overall, another step forward from previous WRC games, and a pretty decent step forward.
