Armed guards in unusually coloured fatigues escorted the prisoner through the heavy steel pressure doors of the Commodore's airlock. Kolomyski saw the procession as a thing of contrast; the troops standing upright and symmetrical in their matching turqoise rubber suits, while the man known as Mikhail Bulgakov sloped and leaned in his baggy prison overalls, looking about with a mixture of indifference and contempt.
