XB1 Battleborn G1, 2P private splitscreen Co-op 2v2, Capture on Temples, Oscar Mike practice 1-2.
No battle chatter/commentary. Hello YouTube. SSGL here with our first Battleborn vid at 0:21.
The good news here is that I have the necessary pre-loaded content to support the channel during my 2-week work session, which began yesterday.
As planned, we begin with our first take at Batteborn.
I guess we made it, barely. The pixel effect that we end up seeing in the TV when we record with ElGato, didn't quite made the Helix's micro text unreadable. So there's that. But again, barely.
Lots of things to get used to here. But first, we knew before hand that Oscar Mike and Capture are the most traditional of the Heroes and game modes available. That, coupled with the ability to play privately with AI Bots, makes this a good place to begin getting used to a variety of things ranging from the Hero's build-in abilities, Helix tree, gear and survivability, to acquiring shards to build stuff, enemy composition, not to mention, the kind of situational awareness and prioritizing required to do well and so forth.
Oscar Mike is your typical dude with a gun and grenades, and as such, the recommended Hero for beginners. He does have a cloak as his defence mechanism however, although it can be used offensively too. This allows Oscar to pull some creative moves once one gets good with him. As he grows with his Helix, his area of effect damage certainly goes up with the ability to turn one's grenades into napalm bombs and the Orbital strike ultimate ability.
In this match, I found out that Miko is more resilient that I thought, he being the Medic/Support character type. But knew the deal with Galilea, a close combat Hero one should stay clear whenever possible.
I did checked out the various Battleborn Hero character breakdown vids by the YouTube Community before hand, which is highly recommended.
Enjoy!
