Hello YouTube. SSGL here lucky to be playing Metroid Prime Trilogy. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(2:33) 1st match.
(8:22) 2nd match.
This game was avaliable for only 2 years I think. Lucky me, that my job took me to a rather remote Wal-Mart, and there it was, years after it has been discontinued!
The multiplayer portion of this pack is tied to Metroid: Echoes, the second title of the trilogy. Here, we try to get the hang of the motion controls in a first person game. Not my cup of tea, unfortunately, regular controllers are not supported here.
My main beef however, is that when I play campaign, the customization option of switching the fire and jump buttons around is available. But not here. As a result, the trigger button is jumping and the B button, located on top of the motion controller, is to jump. It can get confusing. Having the trigger act as the firing button is much more comfortable in my opinion.
In combat, the ball form is considered the equivalent of sprint. Radar and primary weapons are disabled but, alternative moves become available.
One can pack up to 3 additional energy weapons and various missiles (all with limited ammo). Various types of pick-ups and power-up are available, old school style.
Was surprised the mode is described as 'Deathmatch', heh!
