Hello YouTube! SSGL here with a big one starting at 0:31. Having gotten some of the feel of Battleborn, we drop the hammer on Incursion.
The primary objective here is to destroy the two enemy spider-like sentries while preventing the enemy from doing the same. Like Capture, the mode supports up to 5v5. But we are not quite ready for that kind of 'exploding crayon factory' just yet. Heh!
Below are a list of things I realized during this practice match.
1: There are two sentries to destroy. They cannot be attacked simultaneously. But rather, one after the other, starting with the easiest one. I came thinking that once their shields are out, it was damage to their hull thereafter. Nope. Their shields regenerate, thus when they are down, that's one's window of opportunity. Minimap icon: Shield (friendly), Skull (enemy).
2: Minions tend to have a robotic appearance armed with guns and grenades, while mercenaries resemble animal mutant-like creatures armed with guns, shields and close combat weapons. Minimap icon for both: Small square, like turret emplacements.
3: The small minions that travel in packs are guided following a designated route marked on the minimap.
4: Only one large minion can be constructed per pad. It has it's own minimap icon. Unlike the smaller minions, they cost Shards.
5: Mercenaries camps are highlighted on the minimap by an Orc-like head icon. Don't know how to secure those locations yet.
6: The largest of Shards are highlighted on the minimap.
This mode was fun to play and am looking forward to making vids of Meltdown and the campaign when I return home.
In the meantime, any gameplay/character advice will be appreciated!
